brought to you by ONDEG Fitness

Join us for a visit with Todd Widman, one of CrossFit Headquarters’ lead trainers.  Todd is one of several Marine officers chosen to integrate CrossFit into the Marine Corps’ physical training program.  For over a year, Todd served as the single point of contact regarding CrossFit training at Marine Infantry Officer’s Course and The Basic School for new Marine officers.

Todd will give a brief history on CrossFit; explain CrossFit’s aims, principles, methodologies and adaptations.  You will learn about functional fitness, general physical preparedness and CrossFit’s broad, general and inclusive approach to elite fitness.

This presentation is FREE and open to everyone: coaches, athletes, and skeptics. All are welcome!

During the Q&A session Todd will answer any of your questions…this is an interactive event, so please be prepared to ask questions.

What is CrossFit?
“CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.”
