REST

"If a man insisted always on being serious, and never allowed himself a bit of fun and relaxation, he would go mad or become unstable without knowing it."  -Herodotus

What do you do on a REST day?
  • Completely avoid physical activity?
  • Do your own WOD?
  • Perform some sort of "active rest"? (i.e. leisurely walk, easy jog, yoga, chop wood, swim)
  • Perform one long set of holding down the couch while lifting 12 ounce beverages?

Today, though it'd be the perfect WOD to skip here in VA, I'll suck it up and go. I can't explain the rush I get from working out, but I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. Typically, I take R.E.S.T. days to Recover, Evaluate my progress, Set new goals, and Talk with other CrossFitters. This program is both one of individual AND group progress, and sometimes those rest days allow CFers to get together outside of the box, which is always helpful and enjoyable.
