Monday WOD - 12 October 2009

Location:
  • ONDEG Fitness (23 Main Avenue North - in the back)
Times:
  • 6am
  • 9am
  • 6pm
Focus:
  • Metabolic Conditioning
Warm-up:
  • Dynamic stretch / body movement
  • Samson Stretch
  • Tabata squats
Skill instruction and review:
  • Farmer's walk
  • Airdyne
Workout:
20 minutes of two minute cycles at each station:  max effort for 30 seconds, maintenance effort for 30 seconds, repeat, 15 second transition between stations:
  • Squat and run
  • Farmer's walk
  • Jumping pull-ups
  • Double-unders
  • KB swing
  • Mountain climbers
  • Press
  • Airdyne
Technique (post-WOD):
  • Jump rope (double-unders preferred)
Stretch

    At the other end of the spectrum, I've heard a saying; "If you walk every day, you'll walk until the day you die". In a nutshell, keeping mobile and active into and beyond retirement is essential to health-without your health, you have nothing. Why stop ever? Bucket List? CrossFit Games
