Today'sfocus:
  • Gymnastics
  • Weightlifting
Warm-up:
  • Core to extremity dynamic stretch and body movement
  • Samson / perfect stretch
  • Wrist stretch
  • Achilles stretch
  • Shoulder stretch
  • Squat stretch
  • Double-unders x5 minutes
Skill review / enhancement / instruction:
  • Turkish get-up
WOD #1:
  • Press 5x5
WOD #2:
"Uncle Jessi"
For time:
  • Sit-up x20, then
    • Turkish get-up 10 > 2
    • Pull-up 2 > 10
  • then, sit-up x20
Post-WOD skill / strengthening / conditioning:
  • KTE 3x10
Stretch

    Perfect. I couldn't agree more, and I think it was something we can all benefit by acknowldeging, myself especially. When you strive to achieve elite standards, accepting anything less than your personal best is tough, and "falling behind" or finishing last can sooner feel like sudden death than the WODs themselves. I respect and am motivated by others in the box, and can enjoy their successes (first pull-ups, PRs)right along with them. It's inspiring to see others give it absolutely all they have in order to reach new heights.
    As for the clean-up... Hey, I do it for a living, so it's nice when others help out to keep the place tidy. After all, it's like our second home, and us...One big family.
