Interwebs Finds for Today - "The Beginning" (Wednesday, 18 August 2010)

If you are reading this, chances are you have an Internet connection, or an indentured servant that prints things for you to read.  I'm going with the Internet connection.  Either way, you are spending valuable time reading this passage, so I won't provide lengthy, useless dialogue as to why it's important that you are actually reading this.  Just keep reading.

So....(as Jill would say)....other than the three to four hours per day that I'm at the box serving mondo-sized portions of pain and suffering, and in return, receiving many stink-eye glances and left-behind puddles of sweat, I spend a little time surfing around for good info on this thing we call "fitness ".  Whether it be "strength and conditioning", "CrossFit", "nutrition", or what have you...I spend a large portion of my day learning more about how to survive this thing called life.  Yeah, yeah, yeah...death is certainly part of it, but my point is this:  if we are living, let's actually be ALIVE.
  • "The unexamined life is not worth living."  (Socrates)
  • "Life seems to love the liver of it" (Maya Angelou)
  • "Life is not measured by the number of breathes we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."  (Unknown)
  • "If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room."  (Unknown, and the official motto of ONDEG Fitness!)
All that being said, all of the links you find here are somehow connected to one another...it provides a glimpse into the my daily journey of fitness research.

Oh, and what's with "interwebs "?  Just a funny way of referring to the Internet.  (A special prize awaits the person who can explain why the "i" is capitalized in "Internet".)

Now, the links:
