A Few Reading Suggestions

As you probably already know, ONDEG is hosting a book club starting this Thursday, January 6th at 6pm.  You are encouraged to purchase The Paleo Solution by Robb Wolf and read the first four chapters, then join our discussion here at the gym on Thursday evening.  Bring a snack to share.  The public is invited, so if you have friends who are not members of the gym, they are welcome to attend.

We've started a "strength bias" for the month of January.  In the past we had done six week cycles of focusing on different skills and strength components and saw some significant gains, so we will be implementing that type of training again.  If you find strength training interesting or motivating, or you find that you'd really like to pursue significant strength increases, I recommend Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe.  Our January strength bias is taken directly from his philosophy.

Want to become a better athlete?  Download and read the CrossFit Level One Training Guide.  Good info on the CrossFit method, and details regarding the basic movements in CrossFit workouts.  If you want to take it to the next level, consider a CrossFit Level One Certification.
