The FINAL Day!

All good things must come to an end.  Is that really true?  If it's still good, why does it have to end?

I've hemmed and hawed and waited and procrastinated, but now, I've capitulated.  The time has come for me to make a decision.

I've decided that today will be the final day.

Does an end of something mean that it's suddenly gone bad?  Well, in this case, the end of one thing signifies something even better has arrived.

Today is the final, mid-week REST day.

;)

And, that means that an even better, expanded schedule has arrived!  I've wanted to do this for a long time...based on your input, analysis of attendance records, and my desire to provide a more comprehensive service for overall health and fitness.  I've adjusted some times of the workouts, added some new opportunities, and am currently pursuing other ideas for expanded offerings.

One big change that will be hard to get used to...you have to sign up for each session.  If there's no prior commitment to a session, then there will be no trainers scheduled.  Signing up is easy...just call, text, email or sign up at the gym.

Regular group sessions or "workouts" will not change, other than some of times.  You can still expect high-quality coaching in strength and conditioning, with a healthy dose of daily sufferance.

Thursdays!  Yes, finally.  I have had many people request Thursday workouts.  Here's why it makes sense.  We promote a three day on / one day off program.  This give you three days of good variation on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and a good rest on Thursday.  Then back at it again for two days of hard workouts with another rest day on Sunday.  But what if you can't make it to workout on one of those days?  Well, now you can make up a workout on Thursday that you missed on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.  There is some flexibility built into this, so don't expect it to be like the regular group sessions.  You might have to warm up on your own and others may be doing different workouts than you, but at least you won't be stressing about missing out instead of working out!  Don't forget though:  rest days are still important!  But now you have the choice of which day is your rest day.  Sundays?  Forget it...I gotta mow my lawn once in a while...and maybe move those rocks.

Mobility sessions are an enhanced "stretching" session.  Learn techniques to increase your range of motion and recovery quickly from particularly intense workouts.  And, these are free of charge for non-members, if accompanied by a member, so bring a friend if all you are here to do is recover and stretch.

Strength:  Mmmmm!  The good stuff.  Everything in life is rooted in our strength.  Without strength, there is no work...without work, there is no power, without power, you might as well be dead.  If you understand this concept and want to increase your strength, this session is for you.  Basic barbell training and Olympic lifting are the emphasis with advanced programming as the situation dictates.  Conditioning is built into the schedule, so don't think your heart rate isn't going to be affected.  "Heavy or Home.  You decide."

Open Gym:  your opportunity to do your own thing.  Wanna row for 45 minutes?  How about ride the Airdyne for an hour?  Need some help with your snatch?  Perhaps a little extra plate-pushing will do your soul some good?  A trainer will be available to answer questions, and provide guidance in your choice of sufferance.

On Ramp is now two days a week for four weeks.  Each session is scheduled for 90 minutes, but there's time to stay late and learn as much as possible if the rookies can't get enough.

Youth conditioning...this is a free service for student athletes, boys and girls 13 and over.  If two-a-days really sucked last year, then you'd better call Paul to see if you qualify for this program.  Don't bother trying if your heart isn't in it.  This ain't your momma's workout.

So, let's give this new schedule a try...nothing is set in stone...I am open to input.  Please offer your suggestions and comments on the changes.  At this time, there is no adjustment to the fees.  We will continually evaluate this new schedule, so please let one of the trainers know your thoughts, good or bad.
